Submitted by ravisagar on Sun, 06/29/2008 - 09:16Companies give training to the freshers on various tools and technologies. In my opinion companies should also include the following skills in their training program.

|---|---|---|
| Orkut | 2 hours | Scrapping, Searching, Navigation through profiles |
| Gmail Chat | 1 hour | Chatting!, Group chat, Setting Status Messages, Invisible Mode |
| Keyboard Shortcuts | 2 hours | Shifting between Windows in a fraction of a sec, Hiding all Windows at once (very important), Closing Windows etc |
| Proxy | 2 hours | Knowledge of various tools to change your IP Address, Anonymous Proxy list |
| Must have Tools | 4 hours | Pidgin(Chat on different networks), VLC player (for playing everything), Mibbit (online IRC), Web based FTP/SSH, RapidShare, Torrent |
| Google (Most Important) | 4 hours | Different type of Query Strings, Domain Search, File Search, MP3 Search, Code Search |
With Proper training of these skills companies can increase their productivity.

Delhi Emergency Number - 1077
Submitted by ravisagar on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 07:17Capital Delhi now has a 24-hour toll free emergency help line number - 1077. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Tuesday inaugurated a Disaster Management Emergency Operation Centre. The centre has been set up as per the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
The call centre is setup in North Delhi and is operative round-the-clock. It will act as a centralized helpline number accessible to all landline as well as mobile numbers.
I hope this would help people in need.

IRC from Office
Submitted by ravisagar on Thu, 06/05/2008 - 05:01
Today I came across this site http://www.mibbit.com/ for login into IRC channels from your browser. It is great for people who don't have administrative rights on their Workstation or offices where IRC ports are blocked.
Just open the link http://www.mibbit.com/ in your browser, select the channel and you are in.
Try it.
