Hello, my name is Ravi Sagar, I am the principal consultant and founder of Sparxsys Solutions. We are an Atlassian Consultancy company based in the UK, India and UAE. We help companies get the most out of Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and we specialise in automation, integrations, Forge app development, ScriptRunner for Jira and Cloud migrations.
Today a thought came to my mind - Why didn't I use "Founder" in my profile title? I think I hesitated to use it earlier, maybe because I was shy or maybe I didn't feel like I am a founder of a company, but not anymore. Yes, I run a company which I founded with a friend and I have just changed my LinkedIn profile title.
Majority of my day goes into writing Groovy code which is good because I enjoy it, I earn money from and this is want I need to do. This is apart from meeting everyone in my team, meeting various clients, talking to my accountant, dealing with banks and complete other paper work. I used to think I don't need to do all this but I think I like all this. Of course I am trying to delegate. Sparxsys has a more than 10 people now and we are growing. Apart from services we are also building Jira Apps and soon you will hear a lot about it :)
Daily I spend 15-30 mins to make a video. I usually pick a topic that is fresh in my mind or if I feel like talking about something. To be honest I prefer writing about it more than making a video but writing takes more time. Although I do write quite a lot but videos have lot of benefits.
Lately I have started making a list of videos that I want to make. Now I have a list for each category like ScriptRunner for Jira, Jira Best Practices, Jira Automation rules and so on. So instead of just making a video on any random topic I just pick something from my list. Mostly I add the topic first to my list, give it some thought and then make a video. I think it will help in organising my videos and content. Enjoy.
I was quite regular on @Atlassian #Community till couple of year back. Now I don't get much time. With 426 accepted answers I am a Rising Star.
I think I need to do a little better :)
