We all have different computing needs like browsing the web, editing documents, development, running our own home server or editing movies but for me personally I never really felt the need to have more than 8GB of RAM or processor beyond i5 earlier generation, that means my computing needs haven't really changed much in the past decade. I recently made a video about my computers where I talked about when I buy a computer I look for mainly 2 things - how easily can I upgrade it and how easily can I replace it. I own few computers, almost all of them are around 10+ years old and honestly they all work fine for my computing needs even in 2021.
Do you know how much RAM you need?

I have a thing for movies set in Delhi, because that's my city and whenever I see a movie or series set in Delhi I get excited. I grew up watching movies and shows set in Mumbai so I guess whenever I see a glimpse of my city I feel good. I found some old movies set completely in Delhi and I will write about them as well. Last year I started watching lot movies and online series to do something different from you know work. I think I am spending way too much time on computer these days because we are not traveling anywhere and we are not allowed to meet friends as well so I guess it is ok.
Today let us talk about Tandav the new web series on Amazon Prime. I think overall it was very much watchable, the story and everything else was ok but because it is set in Delhi so I have a reason…
Drupal was released 20 years ago by @dries on 15th January 2001. In this blog I want to share how it changed my life. So make yourself a tea, coffee or get beer and enjoy :) Special thanks to @mirnazim as well.
The year was 2007 Vinod and I were maintaining an online community of thousands of users on Orkut but, after 4 years running that community we realised that we need our own website.
So I bought a thick PHP & MySQL book and started making a student community site for IP University in Delhi. It was Vinod's idea to build a site with features like online forums, college information, previous year papers, helping students with admission and other issues related to education. In case you don't know IP University is probably Delhi biggest university and they…
Ab Ayega Mazaa is one movie that you will enjoy watching on a lazy Sunday afternoon with family. If you remember the life in Delhi during 80s then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't like this movie.
I have a soft corner for movies shot or based in Delhi and today I want to talk about this movie which I don't remember when I watched it first time. I think it was in early 2000s when I saw this movie on a DVD that I purchased, yes that was a thing 20 years ago, not anymore, the CD/DVD era didn't last for long. There is something about this movie that makes me very nostalgic about life in Delhi in 80s, I remember lot of things like wide roads, old DTC buses and just few flyovers. I think the Delhi nostalgia was one of the main thing that I like about…
Few days back I watched this movie which I noticed on Netflix, yes I started watching movies and series in 2020 and I thought I will probably start writing about some movies or series that I liked. Not a movie review really, just want to give myself another reason to write regular blogs :)
Honestly I ran out of content on Netflix and Amazon Prime. I have watched all the Hindi series and movies I wanted I felt are interesting. I was not sure about what will be there in this movie but for some reasons I decided to give it a try.
The movie is about a girl who is from small town and started working as a maid in Mumbai but she is also ambitious and have bigger dreams. Nothing extraordinary about the story but the way movie is made is brilliant. It is about the class…
Today is the first day of 2021 and I thought it will be good to write a blog. The day was nothing different from other days, no actually I was working today. I think it is a good to work on the first day of the year. I just realised that I will be 40 this year. Couple of years back I made a list of things I want to do when I am 40. When I look at my goals of the last few year I think I am consistent. Few years ago I tried writing a post everyday. I mean a real shareable post, I do share everyday in the form of a video now a days but I tried sharing updates every day. I think it is not really necessary. You can't possible be in the right state of mind to share content everyday. So this year I will not try to share everyday, like a proper blog post but let us see if I can be at least…
Another year has come to an end and it is time to reflect back on the year which for many was not the best one, probably really bad for some. For me it was overall quite ok, I would say actually quite good.
I share quite lot of things already through out the year on this blog which is no longer just a blog but a proper site but in the past 13 years I have been writing year end and half yearly updates on this site. I think it is a good idea to look back on what happened in the past one year. From time to time I read my own blog which I am sure I am the only one reading them who knows? :) but when I read them I feel so good and makes me calm that I am doing the right thing. Sometime around 2011 I started writing my goals and planning everything I do in my life around these goals…
Today I answered a question on the @atlassian #community and the moment I pressed the submit button I noticed something. There is a count on the right hand that shows the number of posts, which changed from 999 to 1000. There was no loud bang or colourful animation but it felt so good.

What is Atlassian Community?
It is a place where you can ask questions and help others around Atlassian tools. People who are super active and answer lot of questions (like me) are called Community Leaders but anyone can post answers. It is a great place to seek information which might not be easily available in the official documentation.

My biggest challenge I think is to organise my content. I have plenty of videos, articles, kb and tips on this site. When I started this blog, it was meant to be nothing but a blog but over the years I think my blog has become more or less like a site or a knowledge base. I am happy with that actually.
The problem however is to organise the content that I already have to that anyone who is coming to this site to seek information can find it easily. It will be a shame if you come to my site and leave without finding what you were looking for.
So I am writing this blog to help you.
