Setup WiFi on Atheros AR5006X Wireless Network Adapter
Submitted by ravisagar on Thu, 04/24/2008 - 03:25I have Compaq Presario C772TU Notebook PC which has Atheros AR5006X Wireless Network Adapter.
Last Saturday I installed Fedora 8 on my Laptop but WiFi was not working. After searching on the Internet I came to know that Atheros AR5006x has some issues with Linux.
I tried installing NDISwrapper and MadWifi but no Luck. I then mailed Fedora Testing Group and I got some responses from other member and my problem was solved.

VAS 99 Pack was Activated Automatically on Airtel
Submitted by ravisagar on Sat, 04/12/2008 - 04:24Airtel's VAS 99 Pack was activated on my Mobile number on its own and Rs. 99 were also deducted from my account. I never subscribed to this service either by SMS or by Dialing any number.
This has happened to me in the past also. At that time Airtel Refunded Rs. 99 deducted from my account.
This time I got a mail from an Airtel Representative Harsh Bhan Singh in which he has written that I subscribed to this service and also been using VAS 99. I don't even know what VAS 99 is? This guy also wrote in his mail that Airtel confirmed with me before activating this service. This is lie. I never confirmed anything to any Airtel representative to activate any service on my mobile number.
That guy gave me a number 543212602 to unsubscribe this service. I dialed this number, but there was no option to unsubscribe VAS 99. Instead I got an automated reply that "VAS 99 will be activated on you Mobile number". That Guy misguided me and didn't solve my problem at all.
Airtel is making people Fool. I wish I could change my Service Provider but the problem is that I don't want to change my number.
