5. Open Source Software Business Models - Pradyot Sahu

After this talk we saw Big Buck Bunny Movie.

6. Open Street Map - Vikas Yadav
7. Open Innovation & Open Source Software - Pradyot Sahu
8. Drupal Hooks - Pratul and his friend

Gora Mohanty brought F9 DVDs and live CDs (too nice of him) and I want to thank Pratul for getting those Open Source sticker. Overall it was nice event. For the first time in OSScamp I saw so many new faces and wish that they come again next time. We stretched the sessions till 6:40PM and didn't get time to catch up with Kinshuk to discuss about next camp. Today Wifi was working but I don't think anyone was live blogging there. I was really very happy to see so many people like me who love Drupal, thats really cool.

I think the two days were awesome! I will share whatever pics links I get and also the presentations presented during the camp.

Good Night guys.

OSScamp Delhi September 2008 - Day 1

I attended OSScamp today at IIT Delhi, reached late there at around 11:30 AM, during that time Kinshuk was explaining about Open Source and Un-conferences. After that all the participants gave a "One minute Fame" speeches. The first talk was given by Shanlalit on "Rapid Web Development Tools", he talked about couple of open source frameworks available for CSS, Javascript, and server side programming like CakePHP, Ruby on Rails and Jquery. Which one we use and why? and how they will help you in your day to day work life. It was a but long but interesting talk.

I left after attending this talk :( but I am looking forward to Day 2 of the camp.

Why I love Drupal?

Creating my own Database Driven Dynamic website was a dream for me, yeah I know it is not that difficult, but when you want a Blog, a Powerful CMS, User Registration, Email, Forums, Comments, Access Restriction based on User Roles and bla bla bla other cool things in your website then it get little tough. The very though of making a website with all these features used to Haunt me. I think I am a good Programmer but I am a Lazy person. I do not like do same things again and again.
