4 new Jira tables for fresher data
Atlassian has introduced new “live” versions of four commonly used Jira tables to improve data freshness, updating within 90 minutes. These tables—such as jira_issue_live and jira_project_live—retain the same columns as their originals but may result in slower queries, as they calculate data in real time.

Aligning with Jira's new terminology
Atlassian is updating terminology in Atlassian Analytics to align with Jira’s shift from “issue” to “work item.” The changes will roll out from June 25 to July 25, 2025. Display names in the Data Lake schema will be updated (e.g., "Issue" becomes "Work item"), but SQL names will remain unchanged to prevent disruptions in existing queries.

Introducing Align Smart Links: Streamline Your Workflow
Atlassian has introduced Align Smart Links in version 11.13 to streamline workflows across its cloud products. This new feature transforms Align URLs into interactive Smart Links when pasted into Jira, Confluence, or other Atlassian tools. It allows users to view Align work items like Themes, Epics, Capabilities, Features, Objectives, Dependencies, and Risks in both inline and card formats.
