I have been using Canon 200D for almost 5 years now and even in 2023 it is a great option.

I am now able to use my Canon 200D nicely as a webcam using gphoto2. It works quite well.

DSLR cameras are really good, you can get an old one for really cheap and it will let you take fantastic pictures. I try to keep my camera with me all the time in my bag because it encourages me take pictures.
