Let us go through the update from the @atlassian ecosystem. #TeaWithRavi #Assets #ImportCustomers #ConfluencePublicLinks
3 Million Objects, Asset Templates, Integration with Forge and Customer Context
Wow that is a lot. There are significant updates to Jira Service Management. You can check this page to know more. We knew about some of it in recent updates but Atlassian has summarised it for this quarter.
- Loading: 3 million objects in Assets: Atlassian is inviting Enterprise JSM customers to this EAP. You can read this here.
- Asset Templates: We have these templates on JSM Data Center but I am happy to see them on Cloud as well. You can learn more.
- Integration with Forge: Assets now onboarded to Atlassian's Forge platform. Details here.
- Customer Context: It is now possible to save more details of your customers. This was announced few months back.
Import Customer and Organisation details using CSV
Sometime back we were happy to see Customer profiles and fields in JSM which is great but now we can also import this using CSV. This is amazing because now you can start using JSM as a mini CRM? Normally I use Assets for that but having a dedicated feature is much better. I will keep an eye on this feature and share more but you can learn about it here.
Public link in Confluence Cloud
I still don't have access to the public link feature on my cloud instance. Atlassian mentioned couple of months back that they have halted the rollout of this feature but last week I noticed another post from the Product Manager of the Confluence Cloud team about some changes to this upcoming feature. You can read this post here. This is going to be super useful feature for many of us who use Confluence in their organisation and wants to share some information with everyone. Looking forward to this feature. Do you have access to Public links?
Video of the week
Most SCRUM masters and project managers wants to know what are the best dates for planning Sprint in Jira. From my experience I can tell you that ideal Sprint Start and End date is Monday and Friday respectively. I explain why in details in this video.
