New app on the Atlassian Marketplace
Managing Skills and competency is crucial for any organisation. In Jira there was never really any proper way to manage it. In Portfolio live plan there was an option to manage skills but that was removed in Advanced Roadmaps. I noticed this new app called "Skills for Jira: Competency Management & Expert Work Queues" which looks interesting to me. There are already hundred something installs. Take a look at this app. This might work well for light weight skills management but you have to try it out.
However my personal recommendation would be to use a proper HR tool for that. I elaborated on this here.

Last week I noticed Alex and Rodney started a new channel called "The Jira Life". They are quiet active in the Atlassian ecosystem and share lot of useful content. Do subscribe to their channel.
Atlassian is hiring a lot in India
Recently I just stumbled upon a job post and I just looked on the Atlassian's career portal. I noticed that as compared to other countries they are hiring lot of people in India. You can check the openings here.
