Interesting post

This is interesting but I like to stay independent to stay unbiased and honest. Also rewards are not exciting for me.

I mean, currently, fair. I'm hoping that by joining in, I can help shape it into something better. I've been featured by Atlassian Socials before, and it didn't have as big an impact on the metrics as I'd hope. If I could get access to info and people, that would be worth it.

Well in the post they clearly said that creators have to follow their outlines. Seems like they are looking for free content creators in return on reposts and t shirts.

@ravisagar makes a really good point. As much as I love Jira. . . there are so many problems when it comes to their Enterprise offerings/treatment.

I am not sure about Atlassian Forge capabilities but

Forge is the new recommended platform from Atlassian. When it first came out I tried it and first impression was good but it was earlier this year in 2022 when I developed an app and also published it on the Atlassian Marketplace. Although it took few weeks for the app to get approved but I was happy that the app was approved that I developed literally in 2 days.

Since then I didn't get much time to add more features to this app but now I have decided to get a bit more serious about Forge now. I also asked recently on my channel from my subscribers to give me feedback on the app and help me improve it. My plan for 2023 is to add significant features to this app.

Stay on Top

My idea about the Stay on top is very simple. I want to create an app just one that will super charge your Jira instance. Basically this app will have features for the end users and also for the administrators and there is a reason for that. I have been doing Atlassian Consultancy for many years and I know Jira is great tool but often you have to install lot of apps to solve a problem. On Jira DC this problem can be solved easily using ScriptRunner for Jira but on Cloud you have to install a lot of apps and usually organisation are not comfortable install plenty of apps.

ScriptRunner for Jira on Cloud is limited by Jira REST API

New user Jira get confused with the capabilities of Jira Cloud. Although it has lot of new features like Jira Work Management and nice UI but automation options are limited. We have Automation rules on Jira Cloud and also ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud but there is a limit to the level of automations you can do. If you are migrating from Jira Server/DC to Jira Cloud then you will have to rewrite your scripts with limited capabilities.

Sparxsys can help you migrate your Jira Server/DC scripts to Jira Cloud.

We provide Atlassian Consultancy services and can do lot of things but out focus is a bit more Automation and Scaled Agile. Based on my experience I know that majority of organisations' needs can be fulfilled by Jira's native features. Yes apps do bring lot of features but do you really need 10 different apps? That is where we can help to first understand what problems you want to solve and then suggest an adoption path.

That is it for today :)
